The Office of Young Adult Ministry serves as a source of community, spiritual growth and support for those between the ages 18 and 39. We believe in the irreplaceable value found in faith-based communities, and are inspired to offer a place of fellowship to all young adults in our diocese, whether student or graduate, single or married, with or without children.
We gather together to learn about our Catholic heritage and grow in faith, both through events and informal get-togethers. We assist in planning and publicizing events and activities, offer advice and serve as a liaison and advocate for all young adult Catholics within the diocese.
We are looking for additional members from all the areas. We meet twice a year in person and have about four conference calls a year. For more information, email Sr. Margaret or call her at 850.435.3523.
To involve young people in preparations for the Synod of Bishops on youth in 2018, the Vatican has released an online questionnaire to better understand the lives, attitudes and concerns of 16- to 29-year-olds around the world. The questionnaire can be found on the synod’s official site and is open to any young person, regardless of faith or religious belief.
In keeping with the October 2018 synod on “Young people, faith and vocational discernment”, the diocesan young adult ministry has developed two surveys so that we can better meet the needs of the young adults in our diocese.
If you are a young adult between 18 and 39, please complete the survey found below.
If you are a person who lives with, works with, or know young adults, please complete this survey found below.
