Pensacola - Today, we celebrate the 100
th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun, the pinnacle of Our Lady of Fatima’s sixth appearance in Portugal in 1917. More than 70,000 people witnessed the sun as it appeared to “dance in the sky.”
To recognize this day, St. John Paul II Catholic High School will gather to pray the rosary at noon at the Mary statue to honor her, as well as pray for all those affected by the current wildfires in California.
Saturday, October 14, join the Rosary Rally. Following a short procession through Seville Square at 10:00 a.m., you can pray the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary. The event begins at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 900 W. Garden Street in Pensacola.
Sponsored by the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima at St. Stephen, the Legion of Mary, and the Knights of Columbus, this annual Rosary Rally will be led by Bishop William A. Wack CSC and Rev. Hector R.G. Perez, STD.
Another way to celebrate the anniversary is to tune in to EWTN’s many Fatima specials.
