Father William P. Brown dies at 79

Reverend William P. Brown, of Panama City, Florida died Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at VillaSprings Care Center in Erlanger, Kentucky. He was 79 years old. A prayer service and interment were held on Tuesday, January 2 at Mother of God Cemetery Chapel in Latonia, KY. Bishop William A. Wack, CSC celebrated a Memorial Mass for Father Bill at Our Lady of the Rosary on Wednesday, January 3.

Father Brown was ordained to the priesthood on May 24, 1980. He served in the Diocesan Tribunal Office and various parishes, most notably as pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady Queen of Peace. Father Brown was living in Kentucky near his sister.

Fr. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Brown. He leaves behind his sisters, Marcia (Bob) Wethington and Sue (Wayne) Doane, nieces, nephews, and friends.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
