Guadalupe Radio Network (GRN) invites you to their 2nd annual "Fishers of Men" Charity Fishing Tournament in support of their Catholic radio apostolate in Alabama and Florida. Blue skies, clear waters, a big fish on your hook and amazing stories to tell – all for a great cause! All proceeds benefit GRN. This two-day event kicks off Friday at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and dinner featuring keynote speaker Dr. David Anders, radio host from EWTN. Tournament contestants will gather Saturday at 5:30 a.m. at the Southwind Marina (10121 Sinton Dr., Pensacola).
Participants can board a chartered boat, rent a boat or bring their own boat. Prizes include gourmet seafood from Joe Patti's Seafood:
Red Snapper (on charter boats only due to Gulf Snapper fishing season)
King Mackerel (via small boat charter or private recreational boat)
Speckled Trout (via small boat charter or private recreational boat)
The registration fee is $100 per person and includes Friday's dinner, eligibility to win prizes, a gift bag, drinks and snacks (boat rentals are not included).
Secure a spot on a chartered boat (large "party boats") for an additional fee, starting from $125-150. Smaller boat rentals are also available. This additional fee also includes drinks, snacks, guided fishing, a fishing pole, bait, tackle and deckhands available to clean your legal fish and provide tips to the crew.
If you'd like to charter a private boat just for you and your friends, contact Captain Rick Durant at 850.619.2091 or Captain Doug Paciti at 850.454.9103.
You can also skip the tournament and just register for the dinner at $25 per person.
