The Catholic African-American Cultural Awareness Group of Okaloosa County (CAACAG) invites the public to their 44th Annual Liturgical Celebration Commemorating Black History Month.
The Most Rev. William A. Wack, C.S.C., Bishop of Pensacola-Tallahasse will be the celebrant and The Most Rev. Jacques Fabre-Jeune, CS, Bishop of Charleston, South Carolina will be the homilist. A 30 minute concert by the Eglin Air Force Base Brotherhood Gospel Choir will begin the celebration at 2:00 p.m. followed by Mass at 2:30 p.m.
Music for the Mass will be performed by the combined choirs from St. Joseph’s and St. Anthony’s Parish of Pensacola, Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church and Our Lady of Victor Catholic Church. The Anointed Angels of Grace Praise Dancers will also perform. A reception will follow.
