Discernment Process and Procedures for Acceptance as a Seminarian for the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee
Dialogue with the local pastor, associate pastor, or other diocesan priests
Referral by a parish priest to the Director of Vocations
Initial interview with the Director of Vocations - Ongoing communication and contact with the Director of Vocations - Possible participation in the Diocesan Discernment Programs
Application form completion - Letters of recommendation and Pastor’s evaluation - Medical/Physical examination - Academic transcripts and academic evaluation - Psychological evaluation - Sacramental records
Interview with the Bishop
Review and personal interview of the applicant by the Seminarian Review Board
Acceptance/non-acceptance for the Diocese by the Bishop, upon recommendation of Seminarian Review Board
Admitted into the Diocesan Seminary Formation Program
