The Catholic Youth Sports League (CYSL), spearheaded by the four elementary Catholic schools in Pensacola, provides athletic opportunities for students in member non-public schools. CYSL has proudly teamed up with the University of Notre Dame and their Play Like a Champion Today initiative to help deepen the Catholic Identity of our schools through sports. The Play Like a Champion Today Educational Series exists to form ethically responsible sports leaders and promote a positive sports culture for all young people.
Play Like a Champion Today is:-
Research-based. Every aspect of the program is designed using the best “child-centered” practices supported by years of research into character and spiritual development through education.

Virtue-driven. Centered around the cardinal virtues of justice, prudence, fortitude and temperance

Personal, interactive. Engaging workshops for coaches, parents and athletes provide a personal, interactive and integrated approach to impact the youth sports culture.

Offers the support, tradition, and resources of academic and athletic excellence that mark the University of Notre Dame.
