In the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee the Chancellor serves in the following capacities:
Overseer of the Diocesan Archives which include the documents related to the work and acts of the Diocesan Bishop, Diocesan Curia, and Diocesan Parishes, Colleges, Councils, Committees, and Boards.
Oversees the collection and organization of information for the Annual Official Catholic Directory (OCD)
Serves as an Official Notary of the Diocese –authenticates official documents, judicial acts, grants dispensations for marriage and permissions for marriage.
Director of Child & Youth Protection – oversees the Safe Environment Program of the Diocese collaborating with the Human Resources Office, Office of Schools, Office of Faith Formation and Religious Education and Clergy Personnel.
Approves all clergy and laypersons for ministry and work in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee through Letters of Suitability, Celibrates, Notices of Good Standing.
Prepares Canonical Cases and Requests for:
Coordinates the Process of considering applicants for Priestly Ministry in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee
Serves as a Liaison between the Diocesan Bishop and Catholic Cemeteries.
Provides Support to the Diocesan Bishop as directed.
