No dispensation allowing Catholics to eat meat on St. Patrick's day this year during Lent

Bishop Wack does not plan on granting a dispensation on Friday, March 17, 2023. People are still obliged to abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent. 

Bishop Wack encourages the faithful to honor the life of St. Patrick with our prayers and devotions by attending Mass and asking for his intercession, keeping the season of Lent holy and preparing ourselves to celebrate the risen Christ at Easter.
