First Pitch to be made by Bishop-Elect William A. Wack CSC

PENSACOLA, FL, August 10, 2017 – In celebration of Catholic Schools Night at the Blue Wahoos vs Mobile Bay Bears game Sunday, August 13, Bishop-elect William A. Wack C.S.C. will throw the first pitch, followed by pitches made by five school administrators representing Catholic schools from the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. The game starts at 4:00 p.m. at Community Maritime Park on Main Street in Pensacola.

Catholic Schools Night is sponsored by the diocesan Office for Catholic schools in partnership with Pensacola-area Catholic schools with the purpose of raising funds for teacher professional development.

Bishop-elect Wack, who arrived in Pensacola this week in preparation for his ordination and installation August 22, was named as the sixth Bishop of the Diocese by Pope Francis in May.
