Activating Grassroots to Prevent Taxpayer Funding of Abortion

Americans’ tax dollars are in real danger of being used to pay for abortion. The Hyde Amendment, which has been credited with saving 2.5 million lives, is now facing the most serious threat to its existence since being enacted forty-five years ago.
 
Despite having supported this bipartisan provision prohibiting federal funding of most domestic abortions, President Biden is now committed to its repeal. Further, the Hyde Amendment has already been targeted for repeal by Speaker Pelosi for the 2021 legislative year, and newly-selected House Appropriations Chair Rosa DeLauro has announced that it will NOT be included in the next round of appropriations for Fiscal Year 2022.
