Sponsored by the Choral Society of Pensacola
The Choral Society of Pensacola concludes it 81st season with a concert of serenely beautiful music, sacred and secular, choral and instrumental. And, for the first time, the Society will provide American Sign Language interpretation, allowing Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members to enjoy the performance. The program includes familiar, well-loved pieces, ranging from traditional hymns and songs ("Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing" and "His Eye is on the Sparrow") to classic masterworks (Gounod's "Ave Maria," a movement from Faureâ's Requiem and Debussy's "Clair de Lune"). It also features less familiar music, such as Australian composer Myles Wright's "Interlude for two horns," "cello and harp" and a set of four Brahms songs for women's chorus "two horns and harp").
